SG2000 - Polyurethane Resin System

This versatile Polyurethane Resin System, known as SG2000, finds applications in various fields such as creating patterns, negatives, castings, models, vacuum forming tools, and prototypes, among others.

Mix Ratio: It's important to maintain a 1A to 1B ratio by weight.

Pot Life at 200g/20°C: You'll have a working time of 2.5 - 3.5 minutes.

Demould Time: Your creations will be ready to be demoulded in just 30 - 60 minutes.

Shore D Hardness: Achieve a hardness of 72±2.

Heat Resistance (HDT) DIN EN ISO 75 B (Celsius): This resin system exhibits a heat resistance of 86±3 degrees Celsius.

Viscosity at 25°C (Mixed): The mixed resin has a viscosity of 50±5.

Cured Colour: After curing, you can expect a white or off-white finish.

Each kit contains containers with the same weight, but it's worth noting that part A contains a filler powder additive, which increases its volume. Therefore, to ensure accurate mixing, it's essential to measure equal weights of both part A and part B. Remember to shake well before use.

Before you start, ensure that both Parts A and B are at room temperature, and your tools, moulds, or models are ready for action. It's crucial that the surfaces and air temperature are above 16°C during application and throughout the entire curing process. Use metal or plastic mixing vessels and spatulas to prevent moisture introduction, avoiding paper or wood tools. Measure equal weights of part A and part B into a mixing container, like a polyethylene pail, and mix thoroughly for one minute, making sure to scrape the sides and bottom. Pour the mixture into your mould cavity.

Once you open the containers of Parts A and B, make sure to either use them or seal them tightly, as exposure to atmospheric moisture can lead to unwanted foaming of the plastic.
